I agree with Mairin, summer can be great or boring as fuck. It's kinda bipolar. And this summer, I'm diagnosing it. Mercer, Mairin, and I compiled a list of 'fun', or at least interesting feats to complete in the remaining month and a half before we are unwilling forced into a brick prison called 'High School'. So, here is the said list: 1. Eat nothing but ice cream all day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacking. 2. Hold a seance with yo homies. Ghost themed playlist and ghost shaped cookies should accompany such an occasion. 3. Swim in as many different bodies of water in 24 hours as you possibly can. 4. Write fanfiction. Post it. Become internet famous. 5. Ouija board. Do it. 6. Direct and put together a fashion editorial. Cast your friends as the models and make it look perfect. Gorgeous. Professional. 7. Go on a date. 8. Voodoo s'mores. Are you annoyed at a certain person? Construct their figure out of marshmallows, then ROAST it over a HOT AS HELL, BURNING pit. And enjoy that perfect chocolate-marshmallow-graham cracker combo. 9. Make mix tapes for ya besties. Great way to improve/broaden music taste and make 'em happy. 10. Do one of those impossible Pinterest DIYs. AND ACE IT! 11. Learn the choreography to any Bey, Destiny's Child, or Fifth Harmony video. 12. Watch a horror movie. 13. Spend ALL day in bed. 14. Pull an all nighter. 15. Pretend to be a book character for a day. Act, dress, and eat as the particular character would. 16. Run/bike at 5 AM. 17. Make croissants or another impossible baked good. 18. Go rock climbing. 19. Go skinny dipping at night. 20. Create squad jean jackets. 21. Go cosmic bowling. 22. Make old-timey sodas. 23. Pretend to be a wild animal around dusk. Do this at a nature reserve or park. 24. Have an alone day. No friends. No internet. No phones. 25. Dance in a summer downpour. 26. Be a tourist in your own town/city minus the annoying tourist persona. 27. Have a moon celebration in the light of the moon. 28. Collect wildflowers to press. 29. Again. Climb a goddamn tree. 30. Have a partay. 31. Reach your Insta goal. You got this! 32. Eat food beside a pool. Wear shades when you do this. Feel 10000% cool as fuck. 33. Go on a nature ramble. Go on several. 34. Make your own ice cream sandwiches.
35. Get some Kool Aid and dye shit. Clothes, hair, tongues. 36. DIY water slide. 37. Go berry picking. 38. Spend an afternoon in a used bookstore. So many treasures, so little time. -Emma (aka The Coolest Person You Shall Ever Meet) **Note - Some of the activities on this bucket list were inspired/may appear in this article on Rookie. We were inspired by their summer bucket list and creative ideas so we made our own, however we used some of their ideas here. Thank you, Rookie!
Chasin' Honey - Wild Party When Did Your Heart Go Missing - Rooney First Two Days Without You - Wild Party Ain't No Rest For The Wicked - Cage the Elephant Valerie - Amy Winehouse Back Against the Wall - Cage the Elephant Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Runners I Want You Back - The Jackson 5 Twist and Shout - The Beatles Say My Name (feat. Zyra) (RAC Mix) - Odesza
We have snacks. Dress rehearsals need food. Reading Rookie saves me. I'm trapped in a metal building with 11 other beings under the age of 15.
Mercer is reading Solitaire AGAIN! She highly recommends it. Clara and Ursa color.
Ursa is focused on something. That's new. Freyja is reading. She decided to help fill our lack of male child presence onstage. What a trooper.
At the end of our night, I probably decided that a pile of disregarded coloring pages, my moccasins, and my smexy, Revolution era dress were 'aesthetic'. Good job Emma, double bad.
My sister acting cool. Luckily, this is rehearsal week.
Mercer is not amused.
Myself, in a moment of reflection. *sarcasm
Aren't my other sisters cute?
MIRROR SELFIE!
Helping each other is a big part of backstage life.
Before rehearsal, we often go to a park close to the amphitheater. Artsy.
Coloring is also a huge part of our acting lifestyle.
